I managed to find (way back when) the three official LXDE wallpapers, which are in [color=#FF0000]/usr/share/lxde/wallpapers[/color].

I have attempted to upload your wallpapers for others to download. Feel free to correct any errors I have made.

I used a Debian package which states /usr/share/doc/lxde-common/copyright

No specific mention of the wallpaper files in the changelog but I assume its GPL.

I found a tar.gz file released for Debian-based distributions and was able to extract the three LXDE (blue, green, red) desktop wallpapers from that. As I have installed Mandriva Linux (cooker/beta), the package provided to Mandriva, wants to extract the wallpaper files into a directory that does not actually exist, at least under the cooker/beta version. Once I extracted them from the tar.gz file, I was able to copy the wallpaper files to an existing directory.

Whoever designed them, did an excellent job. They look great! :D

I'm just an end-user of Linux and have never created anything. I'm still at the point where if something breaks, I reinstall Linux from scratch. :D

I saw some via a Google Images search, but they were simply desktop screenshots, no actual links to download the wallpapers from anywhere.

I think there is not any website yet. Would be great if you would like to make some wallpapers. Please post them here afterwards.
