LXDM and .bashrc
I'm having some troubles. I have an application which uses the BROWSER environment variable, which I have set in my .bashrc file. It works, unless I start it using a *.desktop in ~/.config/autostart, where attempting to open the browser results in nothing happening. This is because the BROWSER varia...

Re: Help configuring GVFS with pcmanfm 0.9.2 - not authorized
I just added 2 packages tp the AUR which you may like. One is gvfs-lite, which is gvfs with few dependencies, and gnome-mount-lite, because pcmanfm would not mount my drives without it. Hope you like them! gvfs-lite http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=36042 gnome-mount-lite http://aur.archlinu...

Re: Graphical su(do)
When I said I would contribute one, I was thinking it would be a simple frontend to sudo :) I took a look at policykit, and it looks complicated. While I have programmed before, I havn't really done anything big, and rarely in C. I can give it a go, but I see a steep learning curve for me. Maybe a p...

Re: logout menu not working
You can set which window manager lxde uses. Edit ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/desktop.conf and add: [Session] window_manager=COMMAND_TO_START_WINDOW_MANAGER This will make lxde run COMMAND_TO_START_WINDOW_MANAGER instead of openbox, then you should just be able to put ck-launch-session startlxde in your...

Graphical su(do)
I was wondering what people use for a graphical sudo. I am unhappy with gksu as it has, in my opinion, unnecessary dependencies (gnome-keyring). I was wondering what people use as a replacement for it. In fact, does LXDE need its own graphical sudo application? If so, I would be happy to contribute ...
