Re: How can I restore "Desktop" menu?
PCManfm is set to handle the desktop. Open PCManfm - Edit - Preferences - Desktop - "General - Show menus provided by WM when desktop is clicked"

Re: pcmanfm - '~' is MyDocuments at desktop?
So, how do you hide that My Documents icon on the desktop without unchecking the pcmanfm managing of the desktop ?? I do find it a little too "windowish" and I don't like it one bit. Maybe it's good for transitional users but the configuration options are not evident for people who want t...

Re: Reset to Default LXDE panels?
The default lxpanel is here: /usr/share/lxpanel/profile/LXDE/panels
Copy this to your ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels
and you should be back to basic.

Re: How to use lxnm???
1 ) Net status monitor is just that - a monitor. It is not lxnm. 2 ) Manage Network is lxnm. - hover - info, yes - rightclick - repair/disable - leftclick !! If your interface is up - you should get a list of available networks by clicking on the icon. Select network and enter password if necessary.

Re: How to install samba?
What system are you on?
Done an update recently?
On my Debian Lenny, logrotate is available. If you are one a fork-distro of debian, just search for logrotate and download via web and install.

Re: Update: Current status of PCManFM
Excellent - I must say, this post was highly appreciated. Though, somewhat disturbing! I really hope you, or somebody else, find more time devoting to the(this) project! I would also encourage a similar approach for the other components, not necessarily by PCMan, but by one of the other developers w...

The fact that nobody has answered this post, is beyond me!

LXDE seems to be part of the Debian translation team.

[lxpanel: bug reported] Directory Applet
I just added the Directory applet to LXPanel - and I like it! However, there seems to be a misbehavior - a bug. I have LXTerminal as default terminal. Opening a directory in terminal using the applet, works fine. But after closing it, and wanting to open a new terminal, I don't expect it to open in ...
