That worked. Will still keep an eye out for a complete disable. Oddly, before the transparency the highlighting didnt cover the whole icon, but now it does. Strange. The bottom 20% or so did not become highlighted. Strange, but my problem is fixed, so thanks.

When I hover over lxpanel's main menu icon, it highlights a square. This highlightling looks terrible after changing my icon. I would like to disable or change this highlighting effect entirely. Anyone know if it's possible?

It seems like the command= always refers to one of lxpanelctl's functions? If not, I wonder what else command= can do.

This link only describes and has examples for how to add a program to a Category/submenu on the main menu, as it neglects to show an example of a non-Categorized program shortcu...

My solution to adding a program to the base main menu is to edit not the desktop or .menu files, but instead just editting ~/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/panel Obviously this is said to be ill-advised...
