starting LXDE {solved}

I installed LXDE thru the Debian repos. the only thing I have in my menu is 'openbox session' which does nothing when I select it. Is there something I can do in a terminal to kick-start LXDE? I want to try it out and if I like it, I'll remove XFCE.

I just installed a different login manager which allowed me to make the choice of which DE I want to use - that took care of the problem 8-)

Hi.
I tried many Login Managers on ubuntu 12.04 or 12.10 to start openbox-session.

Finaly i did it with LXDM but i needed to change /etc/lxdm/Xsession and force the variable LXSESSION = /usr/bin/openbox-session
if I use default.conf or lxdm.conf (session=/usr/bin/openbox-session) it dosen't work for me.

I installed LXDE right from the CD install media and it worked right out of the box for me.
