Re: Copy/Paste Cut/Paste not working
I first noticed this in Lubuntu 12.04 and the bug if it is a bug is still around in 12.10. However, for the last year I have been right clicking the document (or file) and choosing copy (or cut) and then using the edit menu on top of the new window choosing paste from there. It works fine for me but I guess you would call it a work around. The version of PCManFM that I am using is 1.0.1.
There is already a bug report filed in launchpad:

Re: Copy/Paste Cut/Paste not working
I solved my problem !
It's not a bug from pcmanfm, it was because of parcellite (the clipboard manager). If i quit parcellite, copy/paste function works fine !
Any idea why parcellite can cause it ?

Re: Copy/Paste Cut/Paste not working
Great. One question. Did you try the work around that I suggested? I read the bug report in Launchpad and there doesn't seem to be any urgency. Then again it is not a big thing.
Not sure why the clipboard would cause the problem. I was under the assumption that when you copied/cut it would go to the clipboard first and then from there to the new file when you pasted. Perhaps my assumption has been wrong.

Yes i try the work around, but nothing change, still copy/paste was not working.
Fortunately, i found this other clipboard manager clipit, that is a fork of parcellite, and the problem does not occurs anymore

OK. I guess we will both wait for the bug to be solved. Until then we will both use our respective work-arounds.

Re: Copy/Paste Cut/Paste not working
After all the research that I did, I thought I would try to copy and paste one more time (using the right click method) and it worked. I have no idea how long it has been working because I have been using the work around that I told you about for a year. I am embarassed. Oh well.
I want to try this so here goes.
Oh bene.
See it works good. Not too sure about the Italian translation.

I got problems with Glippy too. Now I use Diodon and cut/copy/paste works fine.
