Hi!
Since few hours, I can't change the Windows Decoration. Before I had my own black theme and after a reboot, all the Windows Decoration disappeared, and I wasn't able to use my keyboard shortcuts.
I can't change the "appearance" with lxappearance, but I cant' change the Windows Decoration with obconf. If I tried to change the theme in obconf, i get a error: " An error occured while saving the config file /openbox/lxde-rc.xml". I don't know why obconf try to open this file!
Before reboot my laptop, I've just upgrade packages(but don't remember what packages have been upgraded).
Thank you for your help!

Re: Can't change Windows Decorations
Hi
I think you mean ~/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml. Thats the configuration file for openbox used in LXDE. That's because you can use another one if you only use openbox (normally ~./config/openbox/rc.xml) and for example don't need LX-stuff.
Is there the ~/config/openbox/rc.xml? is the directory writable?
btw: what Distro are you using and from what to what did you upgrading?

No, in the openbox directory, there is only lxde-rc.xml. And the directory is writable. Is there the ~/config/openbox/rc.xml? is the directory writable?
I use Debian testing version, and I've just made a apt-get update && apt-get upgrade before.btw: what Distro are you using and from what to what did you upgrading?

Re: Can't change Windows Decorations
I tried to uninstall all lxde and openbox packages, and all config files. and I reinstalled the packages, I always get the same error about the file in obconf.
How I can change the Windows décoration without obconf?

Re: Can't change Windows Decorations
Have a look at "/home/maces/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml" and search for something like this:
"Dark Eternal" is my theme, so just change it to the directoryname of your Theme.

Code: Select all
<theme>
<name>Dark Eternal</name>
<titleLayout>NLDIMC</titleLayout>

Re: Can't change Windows Decorations
OK this is the part of my /home/lol2dol/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml file
You can find my lxde-rc.xml file on this page http://pastealacon.com/3570.
Actually, I think openbox doesn't "read" the file lxde-rc.xml, because even my personal keyboard shortcut doesn't work anymore.
in /home/lol2dol/.themes, i've the Onyx directory(same as /usr/share/themes).<theme>
<name>Onyx</name>
<titleLayout>LIC</titleLayout>
