LXDE on LG X120

Hi

I've just installed lubuntu on a LG X120 netbook and I'm quite impressed by it. Almost everything works just fine right after the installation (webcam, wifi, touchpad, 3g adaptor...)
The only thing that bugs me is the keyboard.
Is there a way to see what is being sent from the keyboard when I press a key or a combination of keys?
I'm curious to know if my HOME key is dead (physically) and what is being sent to the system when pressing FN+F#.

Also, what is the best way to assign key binding to add the missing functionality?

Check here:

Specifically #17 for key binding.
I think it depends upon your computer what the Fn + F keys do. For instances on my EeePC Fn + F2 turns my WiFi on and off. F5 and F6 decrease and increase brightness. On yours it might be something else.
