Recently installed Arch and LXDE.
When I opened LXDE manually by doing startx, it worked OK.
However, after installing LXDM and logging in, LXDE starts up OK, but I had several problems that I did not have before with LXDE.
1. Can't Move or Resize Windows
When I open up a program, the windows are opening up tight against the upper left corner of the display. I can see the menu headings, but don't see minimize or maximize buttons nor can I move windows around by dragging the menu bar.
Also, when I try to move window by clicking Alt key and dragging with mouse with left button pressed, nothing happens, window does not move
2. No Typing Shows in Windows
When I type in Terminal at prompt or in URL field in Firefox, I do not see any text show up.
I finally got typing to work again after trying to type LibreOffice Writer document. Typing worked and I could see text again.
3. No Right Mouse Button Functionality
When I right click on something I didn't get any menus pop up.
I finally solved this one by unchecking a box in Display Manager > Desktop Preferences > Advanced tab and unticked the checkbox for 'Show menus provided by window managers when desktop is clicked'
So, just need help on how to fix issue number one above, problem with moving/resizing windows and not seeing minimize/maximize buttons on windows.....
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Can't Resize or Move Windows on Display!
Welcome to the lxde forum. Is the whole title bar not visible in the window (No title, no minimize, no max, no close) when you open it? It sounds like you are in full screen mode. Move the cursor to the top of the screen and right click. Choose exit full screen. Always try the simpliest first.

Thank you....
I can see the drop-down menu headings; File, Edit, etc....that's it
Tried what you suggested, but don't see any item to 'exit full screen' listed...
Any other thoughts?

Re: Can't Resize or Move Windows on Display!
F11 toggles between full screen and normal on my computer.
I was just on the Arch Forum
https://bbs.archlinux.org/index.php
and apparently some users have had luck with changing the theme, although I do not understand how changing the theme can cause the movement to full screen.
Still looking. By the way, does this occur on all programs or just some?

Thanks again for your help....
Tried pressing F11, but nothing changes that I can see...
Same thing is happening on all programs that I've opened (about 5 or so....)....
Will look again over at Arch forum...

Re: Can't Resize or Move Windows on Display!
Well, I spoke too soon....
After rebooting, I found that I could not type in Terminal or Firefox, etc, again...
Only way I have discovered to fix this is to do like I did the other day. Open up LibreOffice Writer and I can type into a blank document. Then I able to type in other programs again....
Also, tried changing theme of windows...but no change in behavior related to being able to move or resize windows......
Weird!!!!
