Using Acer C7 Chromebook running Ubuntu 12.04 w LXDE
LXDE is the optimal desktop for me, love Cinammon but it is too resource intensive for the Celeron based Chromebook
I have a USB "C-Media Electronics, Inc. CM106 Like Sound Device"
Maybe I am not doing something right but running alsamixer from shell prompt and selecting the CM106 has no effect
As I do not yet have a way to do this in LXDE
I must switch to another desktop and run System settings application then choose Sound card
I am able to switch to USB sound but since the "System Settings" application does not appear to work in LXDE I am in need of help...
to do same in switch to USB sound source in LXDE
TIA
Dave
