Good Day,
Am wondering if there is a way to bring a page to top and make it default on the desktop. Here is a senario. Have a browser, leaftpad doc, and lxterm all open on the desktop. One can click on any page to bring it to the top, once the curser is not pointed to that specific page, that page becomes inop until one points to it and leaves the curser somewhere on the specific page. In effect, all the open pages remain on the same plane. Is this normal? Is there a setting or app that will enable my request? Or maybe this is specific to Lubuntu? Thank you.
Bring page to top function/app?
Re: Bring page to top function/app?
i am not 100% sure what you want, but it's definitely the window manager's task to provide functionality like that.
lxde's window manager is openbox, which is extremely versatile.
i suggest you get yourself aquainted with openbox: http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Contents
especially with rc.xml: http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Configuration
if you think that openbox cannot provide what you want, you might want to consider using a different window manager.
it's all doable, it just requires some studying, searching, daring, trying.

Re: Bring page to top function/app?
Thank you, drooly, for the speedy reply and info. Wasn't quite sure how to accomplish this. It's done now and have saved the wiki page for future reference.
Kind regards.
