Lubuntu xdg-open bug?

Post by someone28 »

Hello.

Is this bug or not? When use "xdg-open" open normally but when use "sudo xde-open" then open Audacious? Can fix it.

Thank you

Would you please give us some additional information on what your problem is. There is no reason to use sudo to open an application. Just because something doesn't work for you does not necessarily mean that there is a bug. You can check the bug reports on Source Forge, see the second response here: http://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=0&t=575
By the way, welcome to the LXDE forum.

it's not that weird that audacious decides to take over folders.
it's adjustable, but the adjustments are different for the root user.

but, as already said, you shouldn't use desktop applications as root. esp. media players and web browsers. really, big no-no.
