Hi folks.
I got LXDE on my machine by an odd route.
I was introduced to LXDE by Fragadelic's LXDE lite, which I have on a drive expressly to test it and to run KOffice 2.0.1, a maaaaaahhhhhhvelllous....proggy...
I was trying a couple of other distros for the same purpose and ran into one that, because of a situation with my video card's interaction with a plasma window manager and a video driver I lost the window.
One of these was a Kubuntu variant. The mouse was there, menus were there but no window.... panel messed up but functional.
I had read at Debian that one could install the LXDE window manager with "aptitude install LXDE"....and so I did....so I've arrived here by a rather convoluted path... via LXDE ensconced nicely atop Kubuntu!
But I really like LXDE...it's a very tight, quick, well thought out thing.... and I'll be using it a lot.
Thanks to the team!
