Can anyone give me an idea of what the 'specs' of the images used to theme the LXpanel are?

Im feeling creative...

Man,

It's the same as the gnome-panel.

You make a background for your panel with just 2x30 px on Gimp.

The most important think is the height of your panel and your imagination! :D

2x30 oh boy, that is tiny!

I've never tried to theme a panel before, so i didnt know Gnome's dimensions either

So that would be a repeating tile, right?

Yes my friend!

The width of the image don't need to be large, because it will repeat on the horizontal.

You can make a image with 30x30, for example, too.

I was goofin around one day and came up with my own design.
I like my panel to be 32 pixels high , so I found the original in usr- share- lxpanel- images it's name is backround.png and I found it's only 1 pixel wide.
I just used it for my starting point and designed one that's 1 pixel wide and 32 pixels high , so it doesn't have to repeat as it goes to 32 pixels.
I wanted it to kinda lift like a button so it's dark top and bottom , I use black fonts for the clock so it looks kinda neat.
I don't remember what the original height was , maybe 26? high , but I like a thicker panel.
The clock looks neat also with the commands %A %x %r which give day-full date-time , kinda wide , but I like it.
