how to disable spin down hard discs using Hdparm

how to disable spin down hard discs using Hdparm

Hello
can anyone tell me how do i permanently disable spin down hd ...at xfce power managment ...cause its permanently ticked ...and can't do anything ....

i find an option at Disks at preferences ..but everytime i reboot the system ...have to do it from the start probably confict with xfce power manager ticked option and as a result i m getting anoying and irritaning,might rather say ,sounds

iam workign on a laptopo on 12.10 lubuntu

Can't you disable the Xfce Power Manager under Desktop Session Settings? I'm still trying to get used to 12.10.
