I recently did an online upgrade from Lubuntu 13.10 to 14.40 (LTS). This went "fairly smoothly".
One issue I had was the loss of the "shutdown" button from my panel (top right corner)
I found this:
http://www.drkdidel.be/en/blog/35/lubun ... on-taskbar
which made it reappear.
But.
I now need to double click this, as opposed to it being a single click before. This gives
me the uncomfortable feeling that Didier's solution is not the "true" solution.
Can anyone help?

It looks correct but when I went to the wiki
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubun ... _add_it.3F
there is a little difference. I am not sure if it makes a difference but it does come from the official website.

I worked through that, but I've arrived at the same place.Rex Bouwense wrote:It looks correct but when I went to the wiki

I need to double click. But I then get two instances of the app!
(so if I select "cancel", I have to do it twice...)

maybe it's gotten slow?
try a single click and wait?
