Not good, try the follwoing:
1) open a terminal and type in "ln -s /home/lol2dol/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml /home/lol2dol/.config/openbox/rc.xml"
2) type in "openbox --reconfigure"

I've got the same problem.
He really wants to write to "/openbox/lxde-rc.xml" (in root / !).
I then create a directory "/openbox" with rights that i can write to it and make a link:
Code: Select all
sudo mkdir /openbox
sudo chgrp franklx /openbox
sudo chmod g+w /openbox
ln -s ~/.config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml /openbox/lxde-rc.xml
Now it works fine and all the changes are saved, but i think it's a bug that he don't use the lxde-rc.xml in "/home/...".
I've just upgrade from minimal ubuntu 9.04 with lxde to ubuntu 9.10.

Previous solution is wonderful, but I found another one. Edit
/usr/bin/openbox-lxde file.
Old content:
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh
exec openbox --config-file $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/openbox/lxde-rc.xml $@
New content:
Code: Select all
#!/bin/sh
exec openbox --config-file ~/openbox/lxde-rc.xml $@

I reinstalled the packages, I always get the same error about the file in obconf.
How I can change the Windows décoration without obconf?
