Hello, same thing. In addition, Qt weighs down the system with the installed elements. Then, between Qt4, barely Qt5, already Qt6. Besides, this explains my DebLight OS project indirectly based on LinuxMint LMDE on LXDE and not on LXQt for its directly GTK side. Otherwise, it would be necessary to manage yet another parallel theme in addition. To date, there seem to be some occasional minimalist updates. On the other hand, on Git, you can find new versions of components for LXDE, like PCManFM for example. With your PC configuration, it is a very good choice. Then, no one reminds us, but LXDE was created for the OpenBox window manager. Some simply use OpenBox when LXDE brings a whole bunch of missing elements.

So, on my first Arch installation I decided to install LXDE as desktop environment due to it's lightweightness (I have a 2 GB RAM PC with Intel Celeron CPU) and retro futuristic look. I have seen on websites that LXDE is unmaintained and people should be using LXQt instead. But I personally don't like the LXQt because it looks too minimalistic and I prefer GTK style over Qt. So, should I stick with my LXDE or should I just migrate to LXQt regardless of what I think about it? Are there any security risks in using an out-of-support desktop environment?
