Re: Newly Created User Account has LogOff button but no Shutdown
maces,
thank you for your reply. I've lent my LXDE netbook to a friend already, and so won't be able to try the "id" until next week. But hope to do so after I get the netbook back.
How come LXDE/Debian does not automatically take care of these things?

The command
Code: Select all

Re: Change keyboard layout for one user account AFTER logging in
I found the solution:
mkdir -p ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/
cp /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE/autostart ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/
leafpad ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/autostart
add "setxkbmap us" at the end and save

Network Monitor / Connections Applet/Program
Hello, I've just switched from the original OS on the eeepc to debian-eeepc. I was wondering what I need to be able to log on to WiFi when I got to public places like coffee shops or airports. Is there some sort of applet/program that will help with this? An applet/program that will remember SSIDs a...
