Re: Firefox tabs-inspired taskbar

Hi

That's sounding very cool, you could write a feature request for that.

Re: My Documents löschen, Panel Menü anpassen, Icons -> Desk

Hi

Hi

bist du in der Gruppe "power"? Um das herauszufinden, einfach mal "id" in ein Terminal eingeben.

Hi,

Samba (Client) installieren und das Samba Modul für gvfs installieren:

Code: Select all

yum install samba-client gvfs-smb
Danach in PCMnFM auf "Gehe zu">"Netzwerk" von da aus kommst du auf deine Laufwerke.

Re: How to view and launch newly installed apps?

Thanks for the information. Well the menu cache of LXPanel looks for changes in "/usr/share/applications". If the new applications won't install a *.dektop file there, they won't be listed in the menu, afaik.

Re: Help with Ubuntu Software Center, Skype and sound

1: apt-get is the command line util for synaptic, never mind. 2: Here's mine: [Desktop Entry] Name=Skype Comment=Skype Internet Telephony Exec=skype Icon=skype.png Terminal=0 Type=Application Encoding=UTF-8 Categories=Network;Application; Copy that in a new textfile and save it as "Skype.deskto...

Re: How to view and launch newly installed apps?

Hi,

they should appear in the menu automatically. Is there a *.dektop file under "/usr/share/applications"? What version of LXPanel are you using? What's your Distributions name and version? What applications do you want to install, anyway?

Re: Help with Ubuntu Software Center, Skype and sound

Hi,

1: have a look at "synaptic" and "apt-get".
2: copy the Skype's *.desktop file from "/usr/share/applications" to "~/.config/autostart"
3: Have a look at "alsamixer" or "gmixer".

Re: A very minimal LXDE

Hi,

you would need at least GTK for LXDE applications. Please provide more information about your device, Name, version of installed applications, ect. I ain't personally own a tablet, but for the ones who do, this informations might be useful ;)
