LXDE Update Debian 7 Wheezy
Is there a Backports repo for LXDE on Debian?
What's the best way to update LXDE on Debian as the versions already installed in the Stable repo are not the newest ones published here.

Re: Setup window size/position
In order for PCManFM to remember Window Size you should edit ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/pcmanfm.conf with specific values like as follows: [ui] . . . win_width=640 win_height=800 . . . As for Window position, that doesn't bother me so much so I've chosen one of the other options in the Openbox Config Ma...

Re: System tray extended + artifacts
I've encountered a similar situation (icons not appearing in the system tray). For posterity's sake, I realized my lxpanel issues were caused by the fact that the lxpanel configuration reads EVERY file inside $HOME/.config/..../panels. I had two files there (named 'panel' and 'panel.orig'). On star...

Re: problem in lxappearance
Further investigation into this suggests a possible solution. Removing lxappearance-obconf (0.2.0.2) which is provided by my Fedora system resolves the problem with lxappearance Segmentation Fault. Perhaps lxappearance-obconf needs to be updated on my system to (0.2.0.4). But you're running a testin...

Re: problem in lxappearance
I'm running lxappearance as a local user. From the Menu there's no response, and executing from an X-terminal gives: GLib-GObject-CRITICAL, g_object_unref: assertion G_IS_OBJECT failed ... Segmentation Fault I've tested with a full load of GTK engines installed and have also removed all Themes. Same...

Re: problem in lxappearance
I am having the exact same problem with the same error verbose being produced, using lxappearance 0.5.2-4.

Re: No (Fake) Transparency in LXPanel
I'm not sure what you mean by "fake transparency", but I will speculate a couple of things. To have a transparent background , or, in effect, no background , right click the panel, choose Panel Preferences>Appearance , check Solid color and click the checkered square to bring up the Pick ...
