Re: Installing new Themes & Icons in Terminal Doesn't Work

What else do I need to do to install the new selection of icons? cd ~/git git clone https://github.com/B00merang-Artwork/Windows-XP Now before we continue, let me make a suggestion: do you ever use your themes as another user? As root? If the answer is No, continue like this: mkdir -p ~/.local/shar...

Re: Multi-clipboard

What's Multi-Clipboard?

In any case, it is possible to install various systray clipboard managers, independent of the desktop environment.

Depends on the distro you're using.

Re: Installing new Themes & Icons in Terminal Doesn't Work

OK, first things first: Do you regularly update/upgrade your system? sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade This is (most likely) inconsequential to your problem but best advice. Now. Assuming git is already installed: cd mkdir git cd git git clone https://github.com/Elbullazul/Longhorn-Collaboration Now ...

Re: Prevent creation of userdirs in home directory

Have you looked at $HOME/.config/user-dirs.defaults and $HOME/.config/user-dirs.dirs? You could try simply removing/commenting all entries from these files, or set the variables to an empty string: Templates= etc. It is strange that directories get recreated after purging xdg-user-dirs*. Did you reb...

Re: Is LXDE going to continue to have support and development?

Anyone can even edit a Wikipedia page, that does not require an account. It looks like they now have something that is along the lines of a WYSIWYG editor, so you will see what something looks like as it's being edited. That looks much easier to do. If it's that easy, would you mind doing it please...

Re: Is LXDE going to continue to have support and development?

Another item I noticed in the article is the Repository information. Currently displays GitHub, but they also use Sourceforge. Is one more official over the other? One most probably mirrors the other. Fairly common practice nowadays. It would appear that the LXDE wikipedia page is indeed wrong ther...

Re: Is LXDE going to continue to have support and development?

If LXDE development is continuing, the LXDE page at Wikipedia needs to be corrected. It currently shows 0.99.2 as the FINAL release of LXDE. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LXDE That is problematic. The citation that is supposed to confirm results in 2 broken links for me. I am now joining the LXDE m...

Re: how to change default applications in Lubuntu.

I'm unsure if this can succeed while the session manager is running; try to 1. log out of LXDE 2. log into a command line only session 3. do your edits 4. log out of the CLI session 5. then log back into LXDE It's ages since I used a display manager, but step 2 might require to chaneg to a different...

Re: LXQt forum down?

Just to clarify again:
The LXDE homepage is now at https://lxde.github.io/
The LXQt homepage is now at: https://lxqt.github.io/
All links going out from those pages work. There doesn't seem to be a forum for LXQt but plenty other options for communication and contributing.
