Re: installing LXDE on BodhiLinux Topic is solved
Do you by any chance know something about the future of LXDE? Will it be maintained in the foreseeable future? See my signature. There's also one or two threads here: https://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39608 https://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=39928 https://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.p...

Why not.
However: if Lubuntu changes to LXQt, maybe lubuntu-core etc. packages will reflect that aslo? Watch out for what is going to be installed.

I did some testing with Abiword, Gnumeric and Firefox-ESR. It's very confusing, how the behaviour changes when you add Shift (but not Caps Lock). However, the behaviour seems consistent across all 3 applications. This is on Archlinux: FF 78.6.1esr Gnumeric 1.12.48 Abiword 3.0.4 Running under Xorg 1....

This sounds like an inconsistency, not something you can fix with openbox' rc.xml methinks.
Can you change the behaviour by switching NumLock either on or off?
Or CapsLock?

Re: Super+0..9 numbers/digits to switch among windows
I have no experience with DE development You don't need that to configure Openbox to your needs. Also make sure you try the client-list-combined-menu. It's not exactly what you ask, but similar. And always remember, openbox is fully keyboard-only usable. I requested this feature back in 2016 , and ...

Re: Special icons for distribution files
I've seen than in PCManFM there are special icons for files with names: COPYING, AUTHORS, INSTALL, CHANGELOG, etc., as it should be. This is only a suggestion: * Use the same special icon of 'COPYING' for a file named 'LICENSE' (icon: 'text-x-copying') * 'README' (uppercase) has no special icon, bu...

Re: Super+0..9 numbers/digits to switch among windows
For productivity reasons , I'm looking for a desktop environment/window manager that supports Super+0..9 for switching among the active applications. Does LXDE support that, and if not, any plans to implement this time-saving feature? Probably no such plans. What's wrong with Alt-Tab? Nevermind. Th...

Re: search box in main menu?
is it possible to add a searchbox to the main menu (similar to win10)? No. LXDE is a very lightweight environment, which means that its components are spartan and not extensible as such. You can, however, use a different menu altogether and put it on your panel as an application launcher icon. It s...

Re: Panel Preference Position Geometry Edge Missing Option
Hi. My panel I can do left or right or top but no option for bottom. Bottom is listed but unavailable for selecting. What would be the best work around? And which panel would that be, which version, which distro? I just tried with lxpanel 0.10.0 (GTK2) on ArchLinux and I cannot reproduce your probl...
