Re: Nach Suspend bleibt Bildschirm ohne Inhalt

Re: Problem with .desktop files with version 1.3.0

i'm pretty sure pcmanfm has an option in its preferences to always execute executables, or ask. The problem is that the dialog box appears for entries in the lxpanel "application launch bar" and this is not wanted - it should behave like the menu..... that seems unlikely; did you create th...

Re: gpart

what seppalta said. on a broader note, it sounds like you brought your consumer mentality over from $PROPRIETARY_OS, and are now deeply dissatisfied with the way GNU/Linux works. however, it doesn't work that way. surely you can see that millions of users, ever growing in numbers, can't be that wron...

Re: Lost Display Preferences - clicked the wrong option somewhere

i just uninstalled pcmanfm, but this is how I remember it:
either through ALT-F2 or a terminal, enter this command:

Code: Select all

pcmanfm --desktop-pref

hope you can find the appropriate checkbox from that.

PS: it should also be possible to access that from the LXDE menu somewhere...

Re: Unlock keyring prompts after LXQt login [SOLVED]

I/m guessing there was an issue with the files in the original keyrings folder. no. i'll say it again: this is a feature , not something problematic. it makes sense to secure sensitive stuff with passwords. it makes sense to actually enter these passwords - either on-demand, or once during login. n...

Re: Unlock keyring prompts after LXQt login

prompts for the password the second time to unlock a keyring. that was the keyword i was looking for. please try to identify which program is asking for the password. is it gnome-keyring, or maybe lxde have their own version? and does it also say what it wants that password for? email client? chrom...

Re: Unlock keyring prompts after LXQt login

it's a security feature. which password do you have to enter? normal user password or sth else? you probably also enabled autologin? chances are the box will go away when you disable autologin. that said, there used to be a trick, to provide an empty password to the keyring when first prompted. not ...
