If I have some time, sometime, I might retry LXDE....

FWIW, I actually have Arch and LXDE running on my little Nokia N900 phone (really a shirt pocket linux computer...).....so, still in the LXDE fold....

Yes, I tried changing the theme....although, in the preference window I opened up (forget the name...), the heading on the first tab is called widget...but what I see looks like the window designs....tried using another one, but no change.... Yes, system is up to date....I did updating the other day...

UPDATE.... Booted up this morning and first thing I noticed is that LXDM screen did not fill out the entire width of display. There was black margins on the left and right... Then logged into to LXDE and same thing....tried adjusting preferences, but no change to display... Rebooted and this time LX...

Well, I spoke too soon.... After rebooting, I found that I could not type in Terminal or Firefox, etc, again... Only way I have discovered to fix this is to do like I did the other day. Open up LibreOffice Writer and I can type into a blank document. Then I able to type in other programs again.... A...

Thanks again for your help....

Tried pressing F11, but nothing changes that I can see...

Same thing is happening on all programs that I've opened (about 5 or so....)....

Will look again over at Arch forum...

All I see is the bar across top of window with drop-down menu headings; File Edit Tabs Help....

That's it...nothing else...

I can see the drop-down menu headings; File, Edit, etc....that's it

Tried what you suggested, but don't see any item to 'exit full screen' listed...

Any other thoughts?
