Nice wallpapers :) Just for the reminder, Lubuntu is still searching for an official artwork. If you can provide a wallpaper + some choices for other piece of artwork, I'm sure the result will be very nice and possibly included in Lubuntu. Yes, there is no support for xsplash, so login can be longer. The easier solution is to remove xsplash, or provide patchs for supporting xsplash :)

You can try to use alsamixer in a terminal, and to unmuted by pressing "m".

I played with lxdm a bit on Ubuntu and saw that there is no .Xauthority file created, and the code for it was disable. Do you plan to fix it ? Because for me, it blocked anything launched with gksu :( I don't know how Archlinux works, but they should have the same problem if gksu is handle the same ...

Hi, There is really nice artworks in this thread :) Is somebody already pack some elements to have a complete theme for Lubuntu, like adding the logo + wallpaper + a icon set + etc ... ? Or maybe mockups like the honki one on page 8 ? It would be very interesting to have such examples to test it for...
