Does LXDE or Virtualbox use buffers and cache in RAM ?
I'm using a Live CD with LXDE just to run Virtualbox which runs a Windows 7 system. The reason I chose LXDE is specifically to use as little RAM as possible, so I could dedicate as much as possible to the VM. From looking at free -m, there's still about 800 Mb RAM in buffers and cached. My question ...

Change wallpaper/background from command line?
Hi guys, I have a read-only live CD running and would like to have a script change the wallpaper in LXDE,
is there any command to do this? Also are there command line ways to change the apparance of windows, icons, etc?
