Re: Trash bin?
hmm. oh well, thanks anyway. i just find it strange, because the function used to exist. you'd think it'd be easier on the developers to add a "send to trash" command while keeping the old delete command rather than replace it

Re: Trash bin?
well yes but i meant by right-clicking on the files. i don't typically use the keyboard that much to delete something unless its from the command line

Re: File sharing
cool, that seemed to get something working. but whenever i click on "windows network" it says "failed to retreive share list from network" and it doesn't seem to even attempt to do anything. is there something else i'm missing? also, is there no stable, gui samba configuration to...

Re: How do I install Debian Linux
seeing as how this is 5 days later, i'm sure you've already made a decision on this but its best to get a distro like parted magic and use gparted to resize drive partitions. you could use parted (a command line partition editor) in the debian installer but i wouldn't recommend that for someone new ...

Re: Questions about adjusting fonts
hmm interesting i never really noticed that feature was missing. i run lxde on my netbook so i don't really want to increase font sizes but for someone with a bigger screen or impared vision i can see why that'd be necessary. honestly i'm not sure if you can do it, i checked myself and it doesn't lo...

Re: pcmanfm2 not display icon correctly ?
i'm not sure whats going on with this forum, it seems kinda irresponsible to me to re-write an entire program from scratch and expect people to not have problems. i did find out why some icons don't show up correctly. if you use an icon in a generic location such as: /usr/local/share/icons/* /usr/sh...

Re: Close lid options
I answered my own question.
If anyone else would like to know, I edited the /etc/acpi/actions/lid.sh file and commented-out the entire LID_CLOSE_ACTION section.
I use the eeepc-acpi scripts. If you do not have this file, try checking for /etc/acpi/lidbtn.sh instead.
