@Drooly Listed below are both the list of all files installed, dpkg -L kicad > ~/Desktop/list.txt and the content of all the files, dpkg -L kicad | tail -vn +1 * > ~/Desktop/data.txt I did not see Categories anywhere, unless I missed something? Thanks @seppalta, That was a lot of help. The solution is quite convoluted but I got there. What has to be done to fix this is as follows; 1. Navigate to /usr/share/desktop-directories as root 2. Pcmanfm presents the files in this directory in a VERY confusing way. The real file names are not shown....

Hi Thanks I found the set of icons the main menu uses. It's a subset of your directory link.
