Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More

PCManFM-Mod v1.1.3 is available. This update adds the command line switches --desktop, --profile, and --desktop-pref for compatibility with PCManFM 0.9. This will help LXDE users to use pcmanfm-mod as a desktop management replacement for pcmanfm, without the need to change LXDE's startup files. Rig...

@DDZ You can probably correct the libm error by adding AC_CHECK_LIB(m) It seems Fedora requires explicit DSO links. You might have a look here... https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/UnderstandingDSOLinkChange If you let me know the necessary additions to configure.in for it to build correctly on Fedora, ...

Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More

For those still interested in the legacy version of pcmanfm, pcmanfm-mod v1.1.0 is available. This now builds as "pcmanfm-mod" and will install and run independently of other versions of pcmanfm you have installed. It also uses its own user config folder. Changes to this version include: *...

Re: Please Continue Support Of pcmanfm-legacy

One thing I have noticed in 0.5.2. is sometimes a device will show up two times on the left hand window and someone told me they had this same experience. I took a look at this while working on the updated version but was not able to reproduce that behavior. Without that it's difficult to fix becau...

Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More

how can I enable icons for the new commands in the right click menu Today's update to pcmanfm-mod (1.0.2) enables the user command icons in the right-click menu (but not in the Tools menu). Just set "Icon=" in the associated desktop file. This update also adds the ability to drag and drop...

Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More

Thanks for your mod, it's definitely an improvement over the standard version and miles ahead of the new version. Just a little question, how can I enable icons for the new commands in the right click menu, they all show the same execute icon and not what is specified in the .desktop file. I unders...

Re: Please Continue Support Of pcmanfm-legacy

By the way Slackware 13.1 uses gtk+2.2.18.... I don't think the bug was introduced until at least 2.19. Arch is currently at 2.20.1 and the bug still affects pcmanfm 0.5.2. But I think a workaround or fix was introduced in exo, which seemed to correct it for Thunar, so that may be affecting the sit...

Re: Please Continue Support Of pcmanfm-legacy

Re the name "mod"... maces has the right idea... "modified". Originally it was a very limited source modification to 0.5.2, a modded (patched) version. Since then it has grown into more of an outright fork, but I figure it would cause more confusion than good to rename it. Also, ...

Re: Please Continue Support Of pcmanfm-legacy

I agree that 0.5.2 is a nice little app. While I haven't ruled out upgrading to 0.9 at some point, I have been maintaining a fork of 0.5.2 which you may be interested in. It makes minimal and well-documented changes to insert a few features, and also corrects some bugs, one of them serious (potentia...
