Lost System Status Conky? in 16.04
Hi, I upgraded from 14.04 to 16.04, but lost the little system status "thought balloon" in the process. Was this a Conky script, or ??? Is there a way to regain it? Thanks in advance.

Software Not Working After Upgrade
Hi, I upgraded from 14.04 to 16.04, but the weather panel app Typhoon doesn't work now. When I click on it, I get a blank purple window. Is this fixable? I would prefer not to have to open a browser for weather info, as is recommended in the forums.

Re: Messaging Applet
It seems like it would work, but we have a package deal with our ISP that includes DSL, unlimited local and long distance on our land line, and two cell phones for a short price. The interface to the IMAP server is a multi-step process (security?) and often means that I have to re-log in more than o...

Messaging Applet
As feedback, I'm running Sparky Linux with LXDE on an older Dell X1 laptop. The biggest complaint that I have is the lack of a messaging applet as found in Gnome 3 or Cinnamon. I run Linux Mint with Cinnamon on another laptop, and find myself using the "create a message" functionality almo...

Re: Keep Reboot Options? Add Launchers to Panel?
Marty Jack: thanks for your kind reply! My autostart file looks like this: @lxde-settings @xscreensaver -no-splash @lxpanel --profile LXDE @pcmanfm -d I looked at xorg.conf, and found only defaults. My installation is an absolutely stock Debian Lenny LXDE. I am running this machine via a Belkin Omni...

Keep Reboot Options? Add Launchers to Panel?
Hi, I'm running LXDE/Lenny on a 1 GHz K7 system, runs very well indeed, but I have a couple of setup questions: 1.) Right now, I have to reset the monitor resolution every time I reboot. How do I set it so that it remains at the new setting at reboot? 2.) Is there a way to add an application launche...
