Re: How to Change LXDE main menu

Hi and welcome to the LXDE forum!

Please read the link I have posted before. You will need to copy /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu to ~/.config/menus/ and then edit it for your needs.

Christoph

Re: LXPanel: Transparency doesn't work correctly

Here is the bug report in the LXDE tracker: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.p ... tid=894869
Maybe we should close it in favor of a bug report against pcmanfm?

Re: LXPanel: Transparency doesn't work correctly

If it is limited to compositioning window managers, it is a regression to previous releases. Previous releases were faking transparency by showing the wallpaper. True transparency on the other hand means they show what is actually behind the panel, but as long as people don't autohide, there can be ...

Re: LXPanel: Transparency doesn't work correctly

If I understand the original poster correctly the desktop wallpaper does not disappear but the panel turns black instead of becoming transparent and showing the wallpaper. Is that correct, ChriChri?

Re: lxdm doesn't authenticate nis users correctly

Once again, this is not my area of concentration [...] Marty, please note that I was not asking you to file the feature request but mathiraj and David. If they think LXDM should support this or that feature, the should file a feature request in the tracker instead of writing about it in the forum. ...

Re: Trash bin?

Both dolphin and konqueror only show the Delete option when they are configured to do so, just like nautilus. Please file a feature request if you want to have this in pcmanfm too. However I still think that Trash is more important and therefor is is logical to implement it first. Regards, Christoph

Re: Trash bin?

The old pcmanfm didn't have a trash, that's why all files were deleted directly. There was no special command. The new pcmanfm was completely rewritten, so trash was just as much work to implement as delete. And as most people will use delete, it was implemented. The only file manager I know that ha...

Re: Trash bin?

Then press Shift while selecting "Delete" from the right-click menu. ATM it is not possible to completely get rid of the keyboard here.

Re: My LXDE have Alzheimer

The kyeboard and mouse settings are a known problem and I'm working on it. However I don't fully understand the other problems. Where do you set DNS?

And how do you log in btw?. Have you installed the complete LXDE desktop with

Code: Select all

yum groupinstall lxde-desktop
