I want to know it too... everytime I close the LXterminal, then when I open it again the preferenses are the defaults, I hate black and gray

hi, I use the LXTerminal and it comes with black background and gray letter (really bad combination). I go to Edit>Preferences but the only options that appear are "terminal font" and "select by word characters"
isn't there a way to change the colors?

There is a default effect which looks like the windows XP minimize and maximize effect. I want to disable it. Just want to open a window and see the window appear, neither more nor less.
