lxterminal sometimes not showing prompt on start.
Installed lxterminal on archlinux + lxde. Sometimes, I found when I start lxterminal, there is no prompt in it. But, if I press any character, i.e. Enter key, the prompt come out instantly.

[SOLVED] gpicview not responding under lxde in archlinux.
Just installed archlinux + lxde, but found gpicview can't work.
$ gpicview
gpicview: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have checked that there existed libjpeg already.
How can I solved this problem ?

Re: Which distros work best with LXDE?
I played around with a few distros with lxde and finally settled on xubuntu... I am using this on a netbook and I found it to be one of the faster solutions... and as a linux noob all the underlying ubuntu compatibility/support was a plus =) One for Arch. I like archlinux very much for its KISS. An...

Re: Lxde

但是在lxde(archlinux+lxde)下,若是常规10号就不清楚,必须要粗体才行。
同样的字体,为什么会有这样的差别?有谁知道怎样才能让inconsolata在lxde中的常规有windows下的清晰?

LCD Screen Font ?
I have arch+lxde on, and use inconsolata font. Under windows xp, inconsolata just use normal and seems fine, but in lxde(green text on black background), I should use bold to get better eyesight.
Is it due to LCD hinting or the font or the color theme ?

Re: any Plugin for Keyboard-Layout siwtching!
I can't imaging you are changing your keyboard layout when working. If you want to change the default layout, edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf, Core keyboard's InputDevice section. There you should see code as belows: Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "pc105" ...

Re: DPI for Screen
I use slim as my login manager.
In /etc/slim.conf, thereis
xserver_arguments -nolisten tcp vt07
Change it to
xserver_arguments -nolisten tcp vt07 -dpi 96 // 96dpi for example
That's all.
