Re: can't shutdown / reboot
What happens with sudo shutdown -r now or sudo shutdown -h now Back a long time ago when I built up my LXDE core install I needed hal installed to get shutdown to work properly in AntiX/Debian. apt-cache policy hal should tell you if you have hal installed or not. If your computer is real old. The a...

Re: need to put "Eject cd-rom" icon on desktop
I guess simply typing eject in terminal is not viable in Open Suse > That command works for me opening cd tray in AntiX LXDE, For/If I needed a Icon . I would make a text file and make it executable and assign a Icon to it . If it works in Unity. It should work in LXDE also. in my opinion. http://li...

Re: New Project by amjjawad
I've toyed with the idea of making my own Minimal Ubuntu install with Icewm and Fluxbox as my 2 Window Managers for install. Openbox alone could be a third I guess like Crunchbang uses. I would install smxi.sgfxi, and inxi scripts into it also. This would have been just for me though amjjawad. Person...

Re: mouting of filesystems
Ok. I think the Hal support for pcmanfm file manager is what is auto-mounting your ext2 stuff but just a guess as I am just a Linux using Biker. Not a Linux IT guy. You could try uninstalling hal in Suse linux and see if the problem ceases to exist. You can reinstall hal if you need it for lxde to w...

Re: Windows manager + general questions
Free time huh. Well back up first before deciding to try and break your install. By fancy eyecandy. I guess you mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqjG4q59-w8 The bottom bar can be cairo dock or wbar or awn. Look them up yourself. There is tons of info on them. Same for Compiz. (wobbly windows and ...

Re: mouting of filesystems
Ever try using the mount In PC-BSD? LXDE like rex says has nothing to do with automount. PCManFM file manager IN PC BSD might though as well as biker@biker-laptop:~$ locate mtab /etc/mtab /etc/mtab.fuselock /usr/lib/python2.6/symtable.py /usr/lib/python2.6/symtable.pyc /usr/share/app-install/desktop...
