An lxde DM is being developed. Search the forum for lxdm. I believe it is based off of slim.

GDM works very well with LXDE.

PCLXDE (PCLinuxOS-LXDE) works beautifully on my older computers. The new one, too.

I see. Your point was not so much what we at PCLinuxOS did, but rather a knock and a plug for lubuntu.

I tested it on an i586 before its release. It worked fine.
