Re: Lubuntu swithcing to LXQt

Yes. This has been promised since 2015. As far as I know Lubuntu may be the only distro switching to LXQt. That may change.

Re: gpart

Welcome to the LXDE forums. I am not sure what you are asking. The installer will over-write the existing partitions and install your OS as well as swap. Unless you are doing something other than a simple install you virtually have to do nothing other than answer a few questions.

Re: Lost Display Preferences - clicked the wrong option somewhere

You can either open Desktop Preferences from the terminal as drooly has indicated or select it from the main menu (Menu->Preferences->Desktop Preferences) Once the application has opened select "Advanced" from the horizontal menu on top and then uncheck "Show menus provided by window ...

Re: Keyboard configuration Topic is solved

Welcome to the lxde forums. There is a GUI for doing exactly what you want to do. Merely right click the LXPanel and select Panel Settings. A new window, Panel Preferences, will pop up and from the horizontal menu select Panel Applets. If Keyboard Layout Handler is listed select it. If it is not lis...

Re: How do I get rid of this peice of * on Fedora 25 ?

Welcome to the lxde forums. It has been a while since I played with Fedora. Your question seems to be a Fedora OS question rather than one than deals with lxde. However I seem to remember that sudo yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment" will install a desktop environment. I would che...

Re: Printing Option is not showing in Kali linux.

Welcome to the LXDE forums. While we do occasionally respond to non-lxde questions I would suggest that you try the Kali Linux Forums for an answer to your problem. https://forums.kali.org/

Re: Shutdown on laptop lid closure

I need to read the question better. Open the LXTerminal and enter

Code: Select all

sudo leafpad /etc/systemd/logind.conf

Find out the line #HandleLidSwitch=suspend, remove the # and change it to:
HandleLidSwitch=poweroff
Save the file and restart the service or just restart your laptop to apply changes.
