I think youre looking at a network manager problem. What a miserable program that is...the only way I could get rid of the nm-applet was to purge network manager and then the nm-applet program. When I used network manager, i had one instance of nm-applet starting from /etc/xdg/lxsession/Lubuntu/auto...

I dont know about 11.10, but in older versions, you open a file manager and go to /usr/share/applications In this directory is a program called Pop-Up Notifications. Open this and you can change the settings for notifications.

It depends on which Lubuntu version you are using. Im using 11.04 and the default menu button is at:
/usr/share/lubuntu/images/lubuntu-logo.png

Ahh...my instructions were for Lubuntu. This is probably distro specific. Maybe hop on the fedora forums and ask there?

What OS are you using? Try this;
-Open your file manager.
-Go to /usr/share/applications
-Find the Power Management icon and double click
From there you should be able to adjust things easily.

I was thinking about this last night...I wonder if you could find the Totems icons in the Mist icon theme files and either make them a part of the Oxygen theme or exclude totem from the icon theme and have it get its icons from elsewhere. Maybe something to look into..

Glad its working for you. Have you tried Faenza icon theme? Its very complete and one of the nicer looking ones.
