Re: Save my eyes! Motherboard asrock h67de3

Have you tried changing the resolution using any monitor controls that may be available? Arandr/Lxrandr should show all available resolutions.

Re: Save my eyes! Motherboard asrock h67de3

I think the correct resolution for syncmaster t200 is 1680 x 1050. Two tools for adjusting resolution are Lxrandr (Preferences/Monitor Settings) and Arandr, which can be installed using Synaptic.

Re: Add apps to the main menu and not to the open with list

The missing link for me is your contextual-menu directories. Where are the configuration files? The openbox-contextual-menu is configured in 3 directories located at /etc/xdg/openbox, /usr/share/...-lxde/openbox and .config/openbox . These function independent of the Main Menu in so far as I can tel...

Re: open new pcmanfm instance in new desktop?

You do not need a second file manager to open different windows on the same or different desktops. You must be missing one of the adjustment tools. I have pcmanfm launchers on taskbar, main menu and openbox menu. Single click on any of them brings a new window up on whatever desktop I'm in. What I'd...

Re: Add apps to the main menu and not to the open with list

I guess by contextual-menu you mean the openbox right click menu, or are you generating a different contextual-menu ? The file to edit the Openbox menu depends upon the distribution (see http://douwil7.100webspace.net/linux/Tuning.html#3 for some cases). The Main Menu is edited with .desktop files p...

Re: (Solved) Uninstalled program still shows on the menu

Your welcome. I recommend downloading and installing lxmed. See http://lxlinux.com. This is a handy tool that allows users to deal with menu items in any direction - adding, deleting, hiding, etc.

Re: Uninstalled program still shows on the menu

Find and delete the gnumeric.desktop file. It will most likely be in /usr/share/applications . If not there, try /usr/local/share/applications . You need to be root to delete. First, open the directory containing gnumeric as a normal user. Then choose Tools/OpenCurrentFolderasRoot in pcmanfm taskbar...
