Thanks for the info, that was very helpful. What I found out is that you can copy any xxx.desktop file from /usr/share/applications/ to $HOME/.local/share/applications/ and add a user-specific category to the Categories=... line In this way I have added a 'Favorites' category and assigned several ap...
