* CD/DVD burning tool - Brasero? Yes, if really it doesn't depend on Gnome. In Arch Linux, Brasero 0.8.2 still want to install Gnome stuff :/

Did u check it in "Panel Settings"? There is "Panel Applets" tab and there u can switch on/off applets which are in panel.
