Found out what it was. Turns out it's not LXDE but the siliconmotion driver in Xorg. Turned off Graphics Acceleration and problem went away. Though I hope the Xorg guys will fix this some time because without harware acceleration it's kinda slow. Added the option "NoAccel" in my xorg.conf ...

Distorted graphics on ThinkPad 240Z
I was trying to install Lubuntu Precise in an effort to revive an old ThinkPad, but I'm running into issues with graphics draw. http://i.imgur.com/tO5Q0.jpg I'm suspecting it's something to do with the SM712 LynxEM+ graphics in the machine. Strangely, it goes away if I have Chromium or LXTerminal op...
