Makes any difference if you go to that folder with terminal, where desktop file is, and then use to see what's the name of it, then open that one and save as: and use a name that you want to save it with. That must work

Doesn't work just to rightclick on the file and rename it to test.desktop ? might be hidden, as it didn't had any name, so the name might be .desktop That makes it hidden.

Secondly, in changing the name of the shortcut, I find I cannot change the display name. Currently there is no display name, just an icon. I have tried via the desktop context menu/properties, from within pcman, and in pcman as root. And still no changes stick. I had this same problem earlier with ...
