Sorry - I'm not making myself clear
I wish to write an a applet/widget than monitors one particular process and have it show in the tray as a red or green icon.
I know how to monitor activity - I don't know how to make a tray applet/widget to do this
regards
Simon

Re: Not very user friendly forum
Thanks for the welcome
I use several forums and they ALL let me stay logged in - even http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/ which seems to look the same as yours
Maybe it is just a setting somewhere in your admin panel

Not very user friendly forum
Hi
Everytime I come back to check on my post, the forum asks me to login - worse than that - it says I've exceeded my login attempts and asks me an LXDE tech question.
Anyway of turning this "feature" off please
Simon

Create an LXDE Taskbar item like CPU monitor
Does anyone know how to go about creating something like the CPU monitor that is on the teaskbar? I basically just want a heartbeat type indicator that will check that one of my programs is running - the checking bit is fairly easy todo - its just making it into a cuddly little display on the taskba...
