possible to put ap in root of main menu, not a category?
Is there any way to put an entry for an ap in the root of the main menu as opposed to in a category folder? In other words put entries for launching specific aps without going to a submenu? Failing that, does anyone know of an alternate menu ap I could replace the menu with, that will be more config...

Re: big-cursor lxde Ubuntu Precise 12.04
Thanks. Yeah, I guess I was kind of tired and stupid when I posted that. This is on a Lubuntu 12.04 Precise, 64 bit system. I don't remember whether I installed it with "sudo apt-get install big-cursor" or with Synaptic but it would have been one of the two. I haven't added any unusual rep...

big-cursor lxde Ubuntu Precise 12.04
I installed big-cursor but I can't figure out how to switch to it. It hasn't shown up with the cursors in appearance. I thought when I installed it once before it became selected automatically. This time I can't even find it. Any suggestions?

W...

Re: restarting panel not working, unknown depends or dumb us
Thank you, seppalta. Those are both interesting links. I'll put off investigating tint until I have put more time into getting what I want out of lxpanel. On the first link there is a great deal of lxde information of condiderable interest but the part about lxpanel specifically seems to all be sugg...

restarting panel not working, unknown depends or dumb user?
Been googling this most of the day and I know there are a bunch of threads already here. I think I've read them all plus a bunch of posts from other fora like mint. But none of the instructions seem to work as expected and I'm wondering if either: a- something has changed since those posts or b- tho...
