Re: Can't change focus or drag windows

Blimy! If I log in as pi instead of root the problem goes away. So it's maybe something in /root/.config. I'm getting warm.

Re: Can't change focus or drag windows

I was thinking of xinput-calibrator but that's only for touchscreens.

Re: Can't change focus or drag windows

I think this time I'm logged in correctly, time will tell. Aha, something's wrong with the calibration. If I click about 1/8 inch below the title bar on a window I can drag it. Still can't change focus to it though. Yes, there are probably defined keystrokes for that, I should look them up. Alt-tab ...

Re: My desktops keep rearranging

No screen locker, I get rid of those as soon as I can. A console screenblanker like you get rid of by putting noconsoleblank in your kernel config string. 20 years ago or so I had a goofy girlfriend and we were into xscreensaver. But you could never watch them very long, the screen would go blank. I...

Re: My desktops keep rearranging

It's not that LXDE always does it, I've never seen it before. But I also don't have another desktop/window manager on here to compare LXDE to. I don't change resolutions, it's always 1920x1080. It seems like somewhere there must be a table that holds the coordinates of each window and that gets lost...

Re: how to set up the weather plugin

Localisation is a different thing entirely that includes your keyboard map and wifi country, language. I had the weather plugin working once and decided it wasn't worth bothering with. There are different standards for sending online weather info to be readable by programs like the weather plugin, b...

My desktops keep rearranging

The stuff on each pane of the desktop I mean. Only on one machine, my Rock64 running Debian Buster. Never saw it before but it's probably peculiar to LXDE. I'm not sure where this info is stored but something happens to it. When I go away for maybe 10 minutes I come back to find all my application w...

Examples of using panel_config_int_button_new?

The only hits I find by Googling it are on the pages where it's announced, search here turns up nothing at all. I'd sort of like a spin button, but on the other hand I'm trying to wrap the project up and I could live without it. I put in a CONF_TYPE_INT and it appears but doesn't seem connected to a...

Re: How to repair a damaged LXDE desktop

Take this with a grain of salt, it's worked for me a couple times, but no guarantees. Move, rename, tar up, somehow disable the files in
~/.config/lxpanel Especially if things work differently as a different user..

They get recreated, I think from the files in /etc/xdg/lxpanel
