Re: LXPanel dissapear
Can you open any terminal? if so you can use a script to kill the lxde panel and it will appear back. For the script you can search this forum or lxde wiki page. hope this will be helpful. What version of lxde are you using?

Re: How to quit sounds on jaunty?
The sound may be from pc speaker. Try modprobe -r pcspkr to unload the speaker module. If still persists mute the mic using alsamixer. This problem is not from LXDE.

Re: Setting correct default resolution?
you can set the resolution in xorg.conf. If you are using the latest (xorg 1.6), no need for the xorg.conf and will get detected automatically. (which distro are you using).
This link http://wiki.osuosl.org/display/howto/Se ... +xorg.conf is one of many to set your xorg.conf.

Re: wallpaper help?
From the screen shot it seems that you are not using pcmanfm as your desktop manager (no My Documents folder is visible). With pcmanfm as your desktop manager changing wall paper is few clicks away.

Re: No Categorie Hamradio in LXpanel
Hello, this is the usual behaviour only and not the lxde fault. sadly some application won't create a .desktop file on installation or you may have not copied the one created during compiling. What you did is the correct way.

I am using LXDE with arch linux. I never faced such an issue. How are you configuring your lxde setup? I use obconf/obmenu. Have you selected pcmanfm to mange your desktop?
