Re: does pcmanfm has split view or not?
I enjoyed the split view and have also been able to find any comperable function in PCMan FM. I think we are giving up a little to get a light desktop, but if someone out there has an answer I too would like to know. Installing a bunch of stuff that is going to bloat the system just defeats the purp...

OK. Go to Edit->Preferences and under General change the Bookmarks to Open in a new Window. Is that what you are looking for?

Re: open new pcmanfm instance in new desktop?
Perhaps I didn't understand your post. If I insert a flash drive, a new window will open on that desktop. However, if I want to open another file on a different desktop, I only have to change desktops and open it. Yours does not open like that, buy you want it to do so. Can you move one of the files...

Re: open new pcmanfm instance in new desktop?
Interesting. I have Lubuntu 11.10 (3.0.0.16) on an ASUS EeePC 1000 and I can open mine on two different desk tops. What do you have?

Re: Add categories to the LXDE main menu
So that's where it is. I was trying to use the LXTerminal and it kept on telling me that there was no such file. I guess my fat fingers were not hitting the correct keys in the proper order.

Re: Add categories to the LXDE main menu
Did a quick search and this popped up. I have never used it but I went to the web site and it apparently works.

Re: Changing date format
I think what you want can be found in Preferences->Language Support->Regional Formats.
Make your change and reboot. The changes will take effect after the reboot.

Re: Changing date format
I'm not sure what you want to do. If you want to change your system time and time zone it can be done from
System Tools->Time and Date.
System Tools->Time and Date.

Re: Bug - two similar model pendrive mounted one after anoth
What happened when you opened the second flash drive? Did it have similar contents? I have a bunch of flash drives but unfortunately only one Kingston Data Traveler so I cannot test that. However, I have several SanDisk flash drives and there doesn't seem to be a problem with them.

Re: Installation of Fedora 16-LXDE failed
Go for it. I tested Mint, Bodhi Linux (which uses Enlightenment), and Lubuntu before I settled on Lubuntu. I think you are wise testing the distros before installing. It unables you to see if they will work on your computer, to determine if they will meet your needs, and in some cases whether you li...
