This is good one but the same thing you can achieve thro' F9 function key to hide and unhide the side pan.

Re: Connect to another machine by IP address
There are plenty of options available to do this. ssh / avahi / giver (http://tombuntu.com/index.php/page/3/) are few to say.

Re: Starting applications
If menu is not displayed you can kill the panel as given in this wiki and get your menu back.

To put your application launchers in the desktop copy the application files (* .desktop ) from /usr/share/applications directory to your desktop.

Re: Digital Clock Applet
is that difficult to follow what MALsPa said?. Right click on the digital clock and select the digital clock setting. In the clock format if you put %R%p or %R%P timing is displayed with hh:mm am or hh:mm AM format. Other way is to edit your config file /home/<yourname>/.config/lxpanel/LXDE/panels/p...

pcmanfm : Column width adjustment : Future request
IMO a means to adjust the column width for the name field can be implemented. For eg if I want to shrink it I have to increase the side pan width towards right side. I want to keep the side pan width and to reduce the name field width. Will it be implemented in the next version. If I shrink the file...

Re: PCman won't mount drives
LXDE is a stand alone DM with openbox as its WM. Which means LXDE can be used with any other WM. Moreover mounting problem is not due to pcmanfm alone. If you have not installed hal, install hal /Policykit and you may have to define the policies your self. Answers are there in this forum and will no...

Re: lxde digital clock - missing seconds and metar weather
For the clock, you can change the format what you want. Select the digital clock setting and change the format string from %R to %T will show the clock with seconds. For weather you can install applets for the open box. If you need all the bell and whistle installing a gnome-panel is another option.

Note: In short you can edit the .desktop file will help.

LXpanel flicker and Menu listings...
Of late I noticed these two issues. 1. Menu window (Application Graphics etc is there) suddenly becomes just a dot and no application can be selected. A logout and log in solve this issue. 2. The LXpanel suddenly starts flickering and nothing can be selected and even Alt+F2 did not work. The solutio...
