Re: LXPANEL Directory Menu not working
It's a bug that's been reported. I found this fix by a user on the bug report: As a workaround you can change these entries in the configuration file for the panel to what is originally used for the default panel session: 1. Open ~/.config/lxpanel/Lubuntu/config in a text editor. 2. Change the entri...

Re: How to install LxQt with the downloads from lxqt.org
Just out of interest, Dr. Tobbe, are you already familiar with LXqt, or are you just curious? If you're just curious, you could download and test-drive Siduction LXqt. It's already built and you can run it live without changing your current system. If so, here's their page to read about the most rec...

Re: Trying to track down where the scrollbar is defined
This is what the OP is talking about, Rex. No matter what theme is used, they are always there. A tiny thin line, then when you mouse-over the line, the little "slider-tab" pops up. Some people love them...I think they are #@$%^!&*!!! Once you delete them from synaptic and reboot, you'...

Re: Trying to track down where the scrollbar is defined
Open synaptic and search "overlay-scrollbar" and "liboverlay-scrollbar-0.1-0" and remove/delete them from there. Then reboot and the normal scrollbars will be available. From the Linux Mint webpage: http://www.linuxmint.com/rel_katya.php Overlay scrollbars Linux Mint 11 inherits ...

Re: Start Qt application without desktop manager
Hi MagoEffe. You might try looking through the .config files for what you want to do.
For instance: /home/bob/.config/lxsession/LXDE

Re: Double panel applets.
Sorry that I couldn't get back to you sooner but the forum has been down. There appears to be a similar problem with a solution on the Ubuntu Forums. Although the OP has not closed the thread, another poster has replied with success. Perhaps that will also solve your problem. See http://ubuntuforum...

Re: need to put "Eject cd-rom" icon on desktop
I don't know if the OP is still interested but I am sure that there is someone out there who is interested so please share your solution with us. I made a tutorial and posted it in the "How To" section of the forum. http://forum.lxde.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=36444 I made it "newb...

Add "Eject/Close CD ROM" to menu / desktop / panel
http://s19.postimg.org/j8dcer5cz/tut_shot_A.jpg This is for Lubuntu and LXDE based distros with one installed CD/DVD drive. Re: need to put "Eject cd-rom" icon on desktop
Is the OP still interested in achieving this? I just put shortcuts on my panel for "open" and "close", but they can be on the desktop as well (and in the menu). See my screenshot.

Re: lxde menu : wine entry is gone
Well, I did install alacarte on my Mint 11 LXDE today. The menu editor works fine, but I never had lxmed installed, so there may be some conflict with both of those running on yours. The only thing that happened to me is it set the default DE to Gnome. A few clicks later, now I'm back to Mint LXDE a...
