Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More
More info on how to turn off gvfs and current status of the fm. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/SubTeams/TestingSubTeam/pcmanfm2Testing export GIO_USE_VFS="local" can totally turn off gvfs. Anything that crashes after this are pcmanfm bugs since gvfs is not involved. Then you can find how ...

Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More
PCManFM2 can work perfectly well without gvfs. The errors you saw are caused by trying to do auto-mount, for which there is a new option to turn it off now. The design of GIO should allow working with local files without gvfs. If this is not the case, it's a bug. If you turn auto-mount off, it shoul...

Re: PCManFM Mod - User-Definable Commands And More
I only made this question, because if we put a .desktop file on desktop, the application name and the icon aren't showed. Still, I think keeping gvfs more of a modular dependency would be helpful, with more direct FS access always there as a fallback. Just my thoughts - I don't really know all of w...

Re: How to change home folder?
The correct way to do this is modifying /etc/passwd or do this with user management tools. And also the environment variable $HOME should point to the directory you want. That's all. There is nothing to do with the file manager and this shouldn't be a preference option since this just won't work for...

Re: Graphical su(do)
Please contribute one if you can.
We really need one.
But we still have another problem, policyKit.
The use of sudo is now gradually replaced by policykit.

Re: Sent-to-fax program
Since what you need to do can be done with a simple command line, it's not needed to write a program for this. Please take a look at 'zenity'. This is the right tool for you. http://library.gnome.org/users/zenity/stable/ Use zenity to choose the file you want with GUI, and then, pass its returned va...

Re: LXDE and THE DM and my lxdm
I hacked lxdm, and currently the latest code in lxde svn repo is using gtk+ to provide a more descent UI now.
Please get it tested. However, the launch script has some compatibility issues. So it won't work on some distros.
Anyone know what's the better solution?
